About Ana

Who is Teacher Ana?

I was born in Ontario, Canada and am the oldest of 5 children. I have a daughter, an awesome husband and a tiny dog. I love to travel and have been to a few countries throughout the world. It was my love of travel and different cultures that brought me to a career in teaching. When the opportunity came up to teach high school overseas in Thailand in 2008, I took it! I have been teaching since.

I have not always been a teacher, previously I worked many years as a counsellor to troubled youth between the ages of 16 and 24, for persons struggling with homelessness, mental health and drug addictions and also as a counsellor to persons with acquired brain injuries. Many years ago, I also taught art classes.

I am from Toronto, but have made the lower mainland of British Columbia my home since 2005.
